Often acused of aiding in deception. That is making EVERYTHING look sexy and desirable, Instagram has carved out a healthy chunk of cyber real estate and. Its a way of personal blogging allowing you to share cool pictures (or what You might think is cool anyway) with both your Instagram & Twitter followers.
Instagram, the whimsical photo-sharing app that combines some of the best aspects of social media platforms Twitter and Tumblr, has cleared the 27 million user mark. More interesting about this figure, is that over 67% of those users are still active, having used the app within the last 24 hours. Instagram’s Co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger revealed at SXSW that now that they’ve scaled enough to meet the needs of iPhone users, an Android app isn’t too far from release, opening up the platform to an entirely new user base. Kreiger hints that in some ways, the Android version is even better than its iPhone counterpart. An official launch date has yet to be revealed, but like most announcements of this nature in the tech world, it shouldn’t be too far off.
